A contractor, Gbenga Majekodunmi, was on Monday docked at an Ojo Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly defrauding a landlady of N400,000 on the pretext of constructing a kitchen for her.

The 40 year-old contractor, whose address is unknown, is standing trial on a four-count charge bordering on fraud.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Simon Uche, said the accused committed the offences on October 15, 2015 at Satelite Town in Ojo area of Lagos.

According to him, the contractor fraudulently obtained N400,000 from the landlady to build a kitchen for her.

“Gbenga collected the said amount, claiming he would build a kitchen in the compound which he never did but rather resorted to violence and willful damage of the woman’s property,” he said.
