The acting Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, in continuation of his visit to security agencies, has paid a working visit to the Director General, Department of State Services, Abuja.

Idris said he was in the DSS to seek the cooperation and collaboration of the body in tackling the security challenges facing the country.

He told the DSS Director General, ”it is only through synergy with relevant security agencies that the country can overcome the current security challenges.”

Idris said it was necessary for the Nigeria Police under his watch to initiate this partnership drive, since the constitution of the country vests the security of lives and property in the Nigeria Police Force.

Responding, the Director-General of DSS, Mr. Lawal Musa Daura, thanked the IGP for the visit and assured him of maximum support and cooperation to overcome the security challenges facing the country.
