A 34-year-old man, Solomon Sanusi, who allegedly assaulted a policeman in mufti and tore his clothes, has appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos State.

Sanusi is also charged with resisting arrest and causing a breach of peace at a police station.

The accused denied the five-count charge before Magistrate Bola Olagbegi-Adelabu.

But the prosecutor, Cpl. Mary Ajiteru insisted that the accused committed the offences on June 24 at 4.30 p.m.

She said the accused committed the offences in the office of the Divisional Crime Officer at Ikorodu Police Station.

“Sanusi caused a breach of peace by his conduct inside the police station while some policemen were attempting to hold him.
