Buhari holds closed-door meeting with Speaker Dogara

The embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, is currently in a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in the Presidential Villa. This announcement came from the Personal Assistant for New Media to the President, Bashir Ahmad.

According to Mr. Ahmad’s Twitter page, “Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Yakubu Dogara visits the Presidential Villa, and currently in a meeting with President Buhari.”

This meeting is taking place in the midst of a budget padding scandal currently rocking the House of Representatives and has fragmented the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). The scandal was first broke by Representative Abdulmumin Jibril who says he has evidence that Mr. Dogara and others padded the budget to benefit themselves.
