A 25-year-old mechanic, Damilare Oyenuga, appeared in an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday for allegedly being in possession of charms.

Oyenuga, a resident of No. 21, Ogunbiyi Str., Ipaja, Lagos, is being tried for breach of peace, intent to commit felony and being in possession of charms.

The prosecutor, Insp. George Nwosu told the court that the accused committed the offences on July 20 at block 204 Flat 4, Abesan Housing Estate, Ipaja, Lagos.

He said that the accused had in his possession criminal charms and other dangerous weapons, in an attempt to use them to commit crime.

“The accused attempted to commit felony by unlawful entering into a house to steal,” he said.

Nwosu said that the accused entered into a compound with a bag that contained various charms, and tied all over his body.
