Onafuye who died in the early hours of Friday, September 9, was until his death, a career journalist with over 16 years experience.
The late Onafuye was in Abeokuta as a correspondent for close to 10 years.
Colleagues described him as “hardworking, conscientious and dedicated.”
Amosun while commiserating with the Onafuye family of Ijebu-Ode, prayed for the repose of the soul of the departed.
Governor Amosun also commiserated with the Ogun State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ and the management of the Independent Communications Network Limited, publishers of TheNews Magazine/P.M News over the death of Onafuye, who he described as “a committed and dedicated journalist.”
The governor prayed that the Lord grants the wife, children and colleagues Onafuye left behind “the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.”
