Manchester City football club manager Pep Guardiola says new goalkeeper Claudio Bravo is “fit and ready” and that new signing Leroy Sane is “in terms of his condition, the best player”.

Speaking on the match between his club and Manchester United on Saturday, Guardiola stated: “I want to control the game. We know how we are going to play tomorrow – and we know we’re going to play a real good team.

“I saw the official games United have played and in every game they’ve played better than in the one before. Like us.

“We’ll try to continue the things we did good and correct and improve the other things. We played have good in some moments.”

Inhis own comments, Jose Mourinho had plenty of praise for Pep Guardiola.

“City are a very good team with a very good manager. They are a title contenders and you have to respect them.

Speaking about being involved in his first derby he added: “I am normal. When you are in the first phase of the season no match is more important than the other.

Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero will miss the derby after being banned for three games. The striker was found guilty of violent conduct after he elbowed West Ham’s Winston Reid.
