Gunmen have burnt the home of former Leader of the Rivers State House of Assembly and a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chidi Lloyd, in Akpabu Community of Emohua Local Government Area of the state.
Lloyd who confirmed the burning of his home, said the arsonists came on 10 motorcycles and were dressed in military uniforms.
He said the arson had been reported to security agencies for investigation.
The Rivers State Police Command through its spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, also confirmed the attack on Lloyd’s home.
Omoni promised to give further details on the attack in due course.
