Osundare bags honorary degree of Doctor of Literature

The governing council of the University of Ibadan is to confer a honorary degree of Doctor of Literature on Professor Niyi Osundare.

In a letter sent to Osundare who is a Professor of English at the University of Ibadan, the governing council said the award will be performed on Thursday, 17 November during the 68th Foundation Day ceremony of the university.

The letter reads: ”I have pleasure in informing you that the Governing Council of the University of Ibadan has approved the recommendation of the joint council-Senate Committee on Honorary Degrees and Fellowships that an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Literature (D.Litt) (Honoris Causa) of this university be conferred on you at the 68th Foundation Day Ceremony of the University on Thursday, 17 November 2016.”
