APC governors accept responsibility for bad economy

The All Progressives Congress (APC), has accepted responsibility for the country’s poor economic situation.

Imo State governor and leader of the party’s Governors Forum, Rochas Okorocha, made the remark while addressing State House Correspondents after a closed-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Monday.

Okorocha promised that the party will fix the current economic challenges ravaging the country.

Speaking, Okorocha said, “We must take responsibility and we must never shift the responsibility to anybody.

“We are responsible for everything happening in Nigeria.

“The good, the bad, the ugly but we are promising Nigerians that we shall fix it.”

President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday met with the governors on the platform of the ruling party in a closed-door meeting.

Okorocha’s remark is coming after several months of blaming the immediate past administration of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), for the country’s current economic challenges.
