An Omi Adio Chief Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan has sentenced a 21-year-old man, Sodiq Sikiru, to two months imprisonment for breaking and entering.

The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Risikat Ebeloku –Mustapha, in her ruling, sentenced Sikiru after he pleaded guilty to a one-count charge of breaking and entering.

Ebeloku –Mustapha said this should serve as deterrent to others of his type that choose stealing as occupation.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Kenibra Brasana, told the court that Sikiru had on Oct. 22 at about 12:30 p.m at Bola village, Apata, Ibadan, broke and entered the dwelling house of Israel Ayorinde.

Brasana said that Sikiru has been arrested four times on the same offence of breaking into people’s houses in the area before he was arraigned in court

He said the offence contravened Section 411 of the Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol. II, Laws of Oyo state 2000.
