Thirty one ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports in Lagos from Nov. 3 to Nov. 23.

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its publication – `Shipping Position’, – a copy of which was made available on Thursday in Lagos.

The document indicated that eight ships would sail in with petrol; two with diesel; while a ship would berth with aviation fuel.

NPA said that the 20 other expected ships contained buck wheat, bulk frozen fish, general cargoes, empty containers, base oil and containers.

The document noted that six ships had arrived the ports, waiting to berth with bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, ethanol and petrol.

NAN reports that 14 other ships are at the ports discharging general cargoes, crude palm oil, base oil, bulk wheat, containers, empty containers, bulk gypsum, clinker and petrol.
