For the third time in a week, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday met behind closed doors with the Senate President Bukola Saraki.

Saraki’s visit to the Villa was the third in one week since the Senate rejected the president’s 29.9 billion dollars foreign loan request.

The meeting between the president and Saraki lasted about two hours.

On November 4, Saraki had a meeting with Buhari after joining him in Jumat prayers at the State House Mosque. He also met with the president on Wednesday.

Saraki, who briefly spoke to State House correspondents after the meeting, pleaded with Nigerians not to politicise the rejection of the loan request by the Senate.

President Buhari also held a closed-door meeting with the Deputy President of Kenya, Mr Williams Ruto, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

It was believed that Ruto delivered a message from President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya to Buhari.
