An Okitipupa Magistrates’ Court in Ondo State on Monday remanded a 25-year-old mechanic, Gbenga Robert, in prison over alleged stealing of a Qlink motorcycle valued at N150,000.

The Magistrate, Mr Banji Ayeomoni, ordered that the accused, of no fixed address, be remanded in prison custody until Nov. 30 for further hearing.

The prosecutor, Insp. Zedekiah Orogbemi told the court that the accused, on Oct. 10, around 4:30 p.m. at Idepe in Okitipupa, allegedly stole an unregistered blue Qlink motorcycle from where it was parked.

The prosecutor said that the motorcycle with engine number FRJ22908 and chassis number FDO15381 was the property of one Ade Fasuyi.

He said the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 390 (9) of Criminal Code, Cap.37, Vol.1, Laws of Ondo State 2006.
