Just as Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo State arrived the Presidential Villa Abuja to meet President Muhammadu Buhari on the coming governorship election in the state, hundreds of supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Monday marched to the INEC secretariat in Akure, the state capital, calling for a two-week postponement of the election.

The PDP supporters, who are rooting for Mr Eyitayo Jegede of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the PDP, are calling for at least 2 weeks shift in the polls to allow the judiciary resolve the contentious issue of the party’s governorship candidate for the state.
