Brig. Gen. Ginikanwa Nwosu, has taken over the command of the 1 Brigade, Nigerian Army Sokoto.
This was contained in a statement signed by Capt. Shehu Umar, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations of the command, and made available in Sokoto on Tuesday.
It disclosed that Nwosu is a seasoned infantry officer and a member of the Regular Course 37.
The statement added that he has held several command staff and instructional appointments including commanding officer 1 Battalion, Nigerian Army which he took to UN mission in Liberia as NIBATT 12.
It revealed that Nwosu holds a Masters degree in Strategic Studies and a member of the prestigious National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies.
