It’s a lie, no plane crashed in Nigeria – NAMA
The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) has debunked rumours making the rounds on social media of the crash of an aircraft belonging to a particular airline in Nigeria.

Mrs Olajumoke Adetona, Ag. General Manager, Public Affairs, NAMA, on Sunday in Lagos, said such rumours were baseless, unfounded and therefore not true.

She said: “NAMA can authoritatively inform the Nigerian public that there is no missing aircraft whatsoever within the Nigerian airspace.

“The agency therefore uses this opportunity to assure all Nigerians of the safety of the nation’s airspace as all necessary measures are being put in place to ensure seamless, efficient and safe flight operations in Nigeria.”

Dana Air, whose aircraft was allegedly involved in the incident, had earlier debunked the claim.

The airline in a statement signed by its Communications Manager, Mr Kingsley Ezenwa, said the report was entirely false and malicious, as it carried pictures and report of the previous incident.
