Cloudy Weather, Thundery Activities To Prevail On Thursday

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted localised thunderstorms over over the central states of Jos, Lafia, Kaduna, Jalingo, Ibi and Mambila Plateau on Thursday morning.

The Nimet’s weather outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO), on Wednesday in Abuja, also predicted pockets of thunderstorms over the high grounds in the afternoon and evening hours.

It added that the region would have day and night temperature of 28 to 37 and 18 to 27 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that the southern states would experience cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms over Enugu, Awka, Owerri and Abakaliki in the morning hours.

It also predicted localised thunderstorms over the Inland cities of the south-west during the afternoon and evening period with day and night temperatures of 29 to 37 and 22 to 26 degrees Celsius respectively.

According to NiMet, northern states will experience cloudy conditions with chances of localized thundery activities over Yobe and Yola during morning hours.

“There are prospects of localised thundery activities over Zaria, Kano and Yelwa axis later in the day with day and night temperature of 35 to 42 and 18 to 29 degrees Celsius respectively.

“Patches of moisture in the atmosphere, there are chances of thunderstorm activities over most parts of the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
