The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Oyo State Command, says it has trained 215 private security guards in the state in 2017.

The Commandant of the corps, Mr John Adewoye, disclosed this on Wednesday during the closing ceremony of a three-day special training organised by the corps for private security guards in the state.

This is according to a statement issued on Wednesday by Mr Oluwole Olusegun, Public Relations Officer of the corps, and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.

Adewoye said the training would make the guards physically and mentally fit for tasks ahead of them and to be abreast of information about the need to assist security agencies with intelligence information.
