A Grade 1 Area Court, Karmo, Abuja, on Thursday, sentenced a man, Mustapha Ibrahim, 20, to one-month imprisonment for criminal force, assault and mischief.

The presiding judge, Alhaji Abubakar Sadiq, however, gave him an option of fine to pay N5,000.

Sadiq advises Ibrahim, a resident of Angwan Hausawa, Karmo area of Abuja, to learn how to control himself.

Ibrahim, who had earlier pleaded guilty to the charge, prayed the court to temper justice with mercy, saying that he was in a bad mood that day.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Zannah Dalhatu, told the court that one Mohammed Ibrahim, of the same address with the convict, reported the matter to Karmo Police Station on May 3.
