Road Crash: NDDC Managing Director escapes death, policeman killed

A policeman was killed when the convoy of the Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mr Nsima. U. Ekere was hit by a trailer.

Ekere escaped death but some of the officials in his convoy sustained injuries.

A statement signed by Toye Abosede, Director of Corporate Affairs said the accident occurred along the Calabar-Itu Road on Thursday when the NDDC Managing Director was going to Calabar to receive the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.

Those injured were immediately taken to a nearby hospital where they are receiving treatment for injuries sustained.
