The Management of LAGBUS Asset Limited has attributed the slight disruption of its service on the Ikorodu -Oshodi corridor to the activities of unauthorized operators.

In an interview with newsmen in his office in Ikeja, the Managing Director of LAGBUS, Mr Idowu Oguntona, who apologized to commuters for the inconveniences caused by the slight disruption said efforts were being made to redress the situation.

In his words: “In an effort to implement improved adherence to traffic laws by the Lagos State Law Enforcement Agencies, it has come to our attention that some unauthorised bus operators are disrupting operations along the Ikorodu-Oshodi corridor.

“We would like to apologise to our esteemed customers for any inconvenience this may have caused while we try to resolve and address this issues immediately.”

Oguntona, who reiterated that only 18 operators were given the franchise of its operations along the Ikorodu -Oshodi corridor said the relevant law enforcement agencies had been notified.

He added that all the approved franchisee of LAGBUS were periodically appraised to ensure that they operated in line with best practices.
