Gunmen abduct Lagos traditional ruler

The Baale of Shangisha, Ketu area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Chief Mutiu Ogundare has been kidnapped by gunmen.

PM News gathered that the baale was abducted around 9am on Wednesday.

He was said to be in a vehicle with another person when three gunmen intercepted the vehicle and ordered the other man to alight from the vehicle and whisked him away.

A source told PM News that Ogundare was kidnapped on CMD Road,  Ketu on Wednesday morning.

The whereabouts of the baale is still unknown as at press time.

Efforts to get the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO,  Famous Cole to confirm the kidnap proved abortive as calls made to his mobile phone were not picked.

PM News recalls that there had been dispute over the obaship stool at Shangisha of which Ogundare is one of the contestants.

In recent times, there have been series of kidnap cases in Lagos, a menace that is given the Lagos State Government grey hair and sleepless night.
