Masterkraft Record has unveiled plans in its forth coming 17 tracker album release titled: “Unlimited.”

Sunday Ginikachukwu Nweke, Chief Executive Officer, CEO of the Record Label while hosting the media said “Masterkraft Records will be releasing to the Nigerian music market, our 17 tracker album titled “Unlimited.”

“Unlimited is a vision I have had for quite a long time and depicts a new journey for me. I was born in Ajegunle and felt the harshness of the area, I grew up learning how to produce music, so expect a big bang from the album.”

On the reason why it took him so much time to release the album, Nweke said “I think the reason that it took me so long is because I feel like this is the best time for me. The industry before now, didn’t have space for musical producers to actually stand up and do their own thing.

“I didn’t have the platform then, but now it’s cool. Now, you can see DJ’s turning to producers. I needed to boost my morale, build myself with so strong confidence and at the same time build a strong relationship with the brand new masterkraft, a platform to discovering new talents”

According to him, the album features top A list artistes in Nigeria, saying that “If you check the album playlist, you realize that there is more unknown musicians or artistes than the known ones, the known ones are basically like Flavour, Davido, Tekno, Reekado Banks, CDQ and maybe Mekassa but other people are like up and coming talents that I found out there, it is basically my idea of pushing out more unknown artistes.”

On his plans for distribution, Nweke opined that it is going to be a massive distribution set because of the type of artistes that are involved.

“The plans I have for distribution is very massive, especially because I was able to tap into major artistes all over Africa. I have an up and coming artiste from Cameroon called Locko, they love him so much in Cameroon, his music is doing well and the media out there is actually behind him.

“I also have two ladies from Kenya, one of them is called Dela and Evelyn, and out there in Kenya and ordinarily without being told, I could be able to cover the East African coast. I also have stuff I did with Mekassa, premiering on Dream FM in South Africa. Also I had a serious meeting with iTunes Nigeria to properly distribute and market it online,” he said.

According to Nweke, the Unlimited album contains R&B, Afro Beat, Hip Pop, adding that: “I actually made sure that it is unlimited in the sound, I didn’t do the Nigerian sound, I focus more on how I would expand the horizon of Africa, on the tape you hear things like R&B, Pop, Afro beat and basically that’s it, I had to use basically every major genre of music.

“Quality wise, definitely anybody who knows Masterkraft, knows that Masterkraft is quality when it comes to sound. I went all the way to the States because of the mixing. I didn’t want it to be the regular kind of tape, so I had to take a break like two weeks and went to the States, precisely on the studio called Deo Dallas in Dallas Texas and I had to sit there and made sure that I have to get it properly mixed into international standards.”
