Gov.Ayo Fayose of Ekiti has advised corps members posted to serve in the state to take all the training in Skills’ Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development seriously following the non-availability white collar jobs in the country.

The News Agency of Nigeria(NAN) reports that Fayose gave the advice at the swearing-in ceremony of 1,783 corps members forming  Batch ‘A’ Stream 2 at the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ise/Orun/Emure-Ekiti.

The governor was represented by his former Commissioner for Works, Mr Kayode Osho.

He promised to create an enabling environment for corps members to maximise their potential for self-realization and self-employment, especially, in the area of agriculture.

He advised them to always respect the norms and cultures of the host communities where they would be deployed for their primary assignment after the orientation.

Fayose also charged them to make the best use of the opportunities the service year would provide them to contribute to the development of the state.

He assured them that Ekiti is one of the most secure states in Nigeria.

Earlier in her address, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs Nwanne Ukagha, said that 1,783 corps members; comprising 1,488 males and 295 females registered under this stream.

She encouraged them to embrace all the courses and training they would undergo during their orientation period and always make themselves available.

The Chief Judge of Ekiti, Justice Ayo Daramola, represented by his lordship, Justice Abiodun Adesodun, administered the oath of allegiance of the corps members.
