Others and their alleged leader identified as Taiwo Oluwaseun Boyejo a.k.a Omo Ile Aje managed to escape.
The arrested suspects are: Adeyinka Adekunle and Simon Adesola a.k.a Solar. Items recovered from the arrested suspects, according to the police, included six short battle axe, assaulted charms and weeds suspected to be Indian hemp.
Nemesis caught up with the suspects when some concerned residents of Iperu Remo town, Ogun State sent a distress call to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, DCP in charge of FSARS, Lagos, Ibrahim Kaoje that suspected cultists led by one Omo Ile Aje who migrated from Ilkorodu Area of Lagos to Iperu Remo town in recent time were making life unbearable for them by attacking and robbing residents on a daily basis in the area.
Following the report, Kaoje dispatched a team led by DSP Festus Olaniyi to the place to arrest the suspects and bring them to the station.
The police swooped on the criminal base and arrested two suspects while their leader Omo Ile Aje and others managed to escape.
During investigation, according to the police, the arrested suspects allegedly confessed to the crime that they were cultists and that they fled Ikorodu to Iperu Remo when they could not bear the incessant raiding by the police, Odua and Onyabo members anymore.
A police source said that they had launched manhunt for the arrest of other fleeing suspects, saying that the arrested suspects would be charge to court
