Eight people accused of carrying out acts of terrorism and belonging to a terrorist group, were on Friday remanded in Suleja Prison.
Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High Court, Abuja, ordered that they should be remanded until Sept. 20 when the case would come up for hearing.
The defendants, Mukau Mohammed, Abdulmumuni Idris, Abdullahi Maigari, Ismaila Ibrahim, Ibrahim Mohammed Madaki Mamman, Abu Sani and Umar Abdullahi were arrested in October 2016.
They are facing a three-count charge bordering on terrorism and belonging to a terrorist group.

According to the prosecuting counsel, Mr Malik Taiwo, they allegedly attacked Natako, a village in Lokoja with sophisticated weapons and killed Ibrahim Abubakar, the chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association, Kogi Chapter.
In the charge, which was read to them in Hausa through an interpreter, the defendants allegedly confessed to belonging to a terrorist group.
They, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
Taiwo urged the court to remand the defendants in prison custody.
The counsel to the defendants, Mr G.O. Adih, did not object to the prosecutor’s submission.
