Non-indigenes in Anambra have urged Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give its ticket for the Nov. 18 governorship election in the state to Mr Oseloka Obaze.
The “Non-Indigenes Support Group’’ made the call at its meeting in Nnewi on Thursday, and said that Obaze, former Secretary to the State Government, was “the most qualified’’ among the aspirants.
The Coordinator of the group, Chief Uzogor Echefu, said that non-indigenes were supporting the aspirant because he had the “most feasible, non-discriminatory and forward-looking plan’’ among all the governorship aspirants.

“We are calling on PDP delegates to elect Obaze to fly the party’s flag because his candidacy presents the best opportunity for the party on Nov.18.
“Obaze’s pedigree, demonstrated especially when he served as the 9th Secretary to the Government of Anambra State, clearly speaks for him and sets him aside as a refined leader.
“Things will turn around positively in Anambra if he secures his party’s nomination and eventually wins the governorship race,” Echefu said.
