The Eid- El-Kabir prayer by Muslim faithful including Gov. Atiku Bagudu was peaceful and hitch-free in Birnin Kebbi.

Speaking on the occasion, Bagudu thanked the people for their steadfastness in praying for the recovery of President Muhammadu Buhari, who was in London for several months for medical attention.

He also lauded the people for their unflinching support to the state and federal administration.

The Imam, Ahmad Rufai Wala, who led the Eid prayers, thanked Allah for His mercies and called on Muslims to fear God in their daily activities and also uphold equity and fairness.

In his remarks, the Emir of Gwandu and Chairman, State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji Muhammadu Bashar, urged parents to instill discipline in their wards and children in accordance to Islamic tenets.

He noted that Allah had answered their prayers for the recovery of President Buhari and commended the governor for regular payment of workers’ salary and leave grants.

He appealed to the governor to continue with the good work.
