Sani Ahmed, Coach of Kano Pillars Basketball Club of Kano, has said that the team was determined to defend the Final 8 trophy when the competition holds in Kano.
Ahmed made the assertion shortly after booking their place in the semi finals.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Pillars are the defending champions of Savannah and Kwese Basketball League.
Ahmed said that the ultimate aim and desire of the team was to retain the final eight trophy in Kano.
“Our aim and desire is to retain the Final 8 trophy in Kano,” he said.

He added that the team would address some the lapses in order to win the league.
Kano Pillars defeated Nigerian Customs 72-58 to qualify for the semifinals on Thursday while Kwara Falcons beat Niger Potters 60-67 to qualify.
Gombe Bulls also beat Oluyole Warriors 53-81 while Hoops and Read thrashed Plateau Peaks 78-52.
Kano Pillars, Gombe Bull, Kwara Falcons and Hoops and Read have, therefore, qualified for the semi finals.
NAN reports that Kano State hosted super eight tournament in 2008.
