Governor Wike assigns portfolios to 20 commissioners

Rivers State Governor Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Wednesday assigned portfolios to commissioners in Rivers State.

They are Barrister Emma Okah – Information and Communications (the position he held during the brief period of former Governor Celestine Omehia), Prof. Roseline Konya-Environment, Chief Ibibia Walter-Transport, Barrister Isaac Kamalu – Budget, Mrs Tonye Oniyide – Culture, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku – Water Resources.

Others are: Rt Hon Dum Dekor – Works, Mrs Ukel Oyaghiri – Women Affairs, Dr Fred Kpakol – Finance, Hon. Tamunosisi Gogo Jaja, former Majority Leader Rivers Assembly during former Dr Peter Odili’s administration is commissioner for Education, Prof Chike Princewill – Health , Hon Damiete Herbert Miller – Social Welfare, Hon Ruderford LongJohn – Local Govt., Hon Shedrack Chukwu – Power, Hon. Boma Iyaye – Sports, Hon. Emeka Onowu – Special Services, Chief Chinedu Tasie – Housing, Barr. Sylvanus Nwankwo – Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Charles Nwogu – Agriculture

It would be recalled that Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma SAN had earlier been sworn in as Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, bringing the current number of commissioners in Rivers State to 20.
