The Kano State Government says it will collaborate with private initiatives to improve medicare delivery to people in the state.

Dr Muhammad Nasir, the Executive Secretary, State Primary Healthcare Management Board, made the assertion during an official visit to Lambu Primary Healthcare Centre in Tofa Local Government Area of the state.

Nasir, in a statement on Wednesday in Kano, said he was impressed and motivated with the physical development executed by Lambu Facility Health Committee.

He said that the committee headed by Alhaji Danbala Lawan as its chairman, had made financial and other commitments in the area in the last one and half years.

Nasir said that such efforts deserved commendation, urging other wealthy individuals to identify with the state government in its efforts toward improving healthcare services across the state.

He said that a plan was on for the commencement of 24 hours service and posting of midwives and healthcare personnel to Lambu Health Centre to improve healthcare delivery in the area.

Earlier, Lawan commended the   transformation of Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje-led administration, especially in the healthcare sector.

He said that what was done at the committee level was an emulation of Ganduje’s efforts at the state level.

Lawan urged the State Primary Healthcare Management Board to post more health personnel to Lambu Healthcare Centre.
