The Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), Ikeja Branch, Lagos, Southwest Nigeria have elected new executive members to pilot the affairs of the association.

Mr Bernard Akinnola was elected as the new chairman of the association and will pilot the affairs of the association for the next two years.

Other elected officers at the election held on Monday at the Central Business District, Alausa-Ikeja are: Mrs Folashade Abdul, Vice Chairman; Mr Harris Adeyemi, General Secretary; Mr Michael Ajayi, Assistant General Secretary; Mr Banjo Olatunji, Treasurer; Mrs Aderibigbe Lawal, Publicity and Social Secretary while Mr Sobande Oladipupo and Mrs Ebilah Elemanyawere were elected as Ex- Officials for the Association.

In his remarks, representative of the National President, ANAN, Alhaji Mohammed Bawa Maru charged the newly elected officers to collaborate with other members in their decision making so as to have a vibrant committee.

He advised the newly elected executive members to work as a team in order to achieve their target goals so as to move the Association to the greater heights.

Speaking, the new chairman, Akinnola pledged to operate an open door policy for outstanding contributions to the development of the association.

Akinnola reiterated that he would rejuvenate and revitalize the association for resourcefulness and resilience in order to reposition it for effective, relevance and recognition of the entire members anywhere they might find themselves.
