The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected fraudster, Ehioboh Lucky, 24, for impersonating business mogul, Dr. Mike Adenuga, founder of Globacom.
The suspect was arrested following a complaint by Mr Abiola Olalekan Ogunseye that Lucky defrauded him of N1,028,770.
The police said, Lucky, who hails from Edo State, opened a facebook account with the name and picture of the business mogul which he has been using to defraud members of the public.
The complainant, Abiola Olalekan Ogunseye, said he came into contact with him on facebook where he promised to get him employment at the Nigeria National Petroleum Company (NNPC).
The victim was asked to pay the sum of N1.5 million to settle some members of management of the corporation who will influence his appointment.
So far, a sum of N1,028,770 has been paid to Lucky before the victim realized that he is a fraudster.
Mr Abiola lodged a complaint to the Ogun State Commissioner of Police Ahmed Iliyasu who detailed the officer in charge of anti-kidnapping and cultism, CSP Opeyemi Kujoore to go after the suspect.
Recovered from the suspect were one Iphone 6, one dell laptop, eight different sim cards, five different ATM cards and one international passport.
Iliyasu promised to charge the suspect to court without delay.
