The Osun NSCDC spokesperson, Mr Babawale Afolabi, in a statement signed on Thursday, said the personnel were deployed to protect lives and property.

“The Commandant of the Corps in the state, Mr Aboluwoye Akinwande has deployed officers and men to man every flashpoint in the state.

“Officers and men were deployed to mount surveillance on critical national assets and infrastructure to prevent vandalism by unscrupulous elements who may want to take advantage of this period.
