Fayose spits fire: Ekiti’ll not surrender land for cattle colony

Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State has criticised moves by the Federal Government to create cattle colonies for herdsmen in the country to stop the incessant clashes between them and farmers.

In a tweet, Governor Fayose described cattle farming as a business and that owners should be allowed to get tools by themselves instead of government creating a cattle colony for them.

”I don’t have anything against the Fulanis & the herdsmen among them. But let me state it expressly that Ekiti will not surrender its land for cattle colony.Cattle farming is a business and it is the duty of business owners to get tools. Does govt build ponds for fish farmers?
