It will also build their capacity to provide classroom management, pedagogy and psychosocial support to students.

VSF said that the training “is a follow up to the Train-the-Trainer exercise that was concluded on 13th January” in those states.
“VSFs assessments revealed that after years of being away from the classroom due to schools closure during the insurgency, it became imperative to train teachers on current and relevant techniques on imparting knowledge and psychosocial support,” it stated.
“Building their capacity will enable teachers to provide adequate support and impact to children in post-conflict situations as well as equip them with relevant skills to improve the outcomes of their teaching and their daily interactions with the pupils,” it said.
VSF, which is a national foundation established to cater for victims of insurgency in the North Eastern part of the country, is headed by Prof. Sunday Ochoche as Executive Director.(
