Chief Emeka Udeze on Tuesday in Enugu emerged as the new president of the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industries, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA).

Udeze, in the election conducted at the Annual General Meeting of ECCIMA, succeeded Rev. Ugo Chime who had spent the mandatory two year tenure as provided in the chamber’s   bye-law.

Chief Emeka Nwandu and Mr Chijioke Mbagwu emerged as the 1st and 2ndDeputy Presidents respectively.

Messrs Jasper Onyeka, Nonye Osakwe, Emma Nwankpa and Jasper Odega emerged Vice Presidents for various arms of the chamber.

Udeze in his acceptance speech, Udeze, assured that the new executive would promote and re-invigorate all the activities of the chamber.

“For this our new ECCIMA House, I will ensure that it is fully furnished and made highly commercial and viable for the benefit of the chamber,’’ he said.

The new executive would be inaugurated on Feb. 17.

In his valedictory speech, former ECCIMA President, Ugo Chime enumerated his achievements including the completion and inauguration of the new ECCIMA office complex.

Chime urged the new executive to focus on capacity building and social responsibility of members to the chamber.
