The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators of Nigeria (ICSAN) says it will expose its members to modern day practices and practical solutions to problems on company secretarial practices and related issues.

Mrs Nkechi Onyenso, Registrar/Chief Executive of the Institute, made the assertion on Thursday in Lagos while speaking on ICSAN’s 2018 forthcoming forum in Lagos.

Onyenso said the forum has the theme, “Company Secretaries and Registrars: A Functional Partnership for Capital Market Development’’, would hold on Feb. 21.

She added that the event would hold at the Boardwalk Event and Conference Centre, No 687, Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Onyenso noted that the forum would be an interactive programme, facilitated by seasoned technocrats and experienced practitioners.

“The occasion will be chaired by the Chairman, Sterling Bank Plc, Mr Asue Ighodalo, while the Keynote Speaker is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Africa Prudential Registrars Plc, Mr Peter Ashade.

“Other speakers are Acting Director-General, Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Dr Abdul Zubair and the CEO of the GTL Registrars, Mrs Fisola Folayan.

“The Head, Listing Regulations, Nigerian Stock Exchange, Mr Godstime Iwenekhai, a reputed Investor Analyst, Mr Nonah Awoh and the Company Secretary of the GlaxoSmithKline Nig. Plc., Mr Uche Uwechia are the Discussants,’’ she said in a statement.

ICSAN, a statutory body established by an Act of the Nigerian Parliament to provide guidance and professional education leading to the professional qualification as a Chartered Secretary and Administrator, is reputed for being a leading global voice on good Corporate and Public Governance.
