The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State Chapter, Otunba Henry Dele Ajomale has revealed that his party was able to unseat the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) 16-year old government in 2015 due to the efforts and monetary spending of its National Leader Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Speaking during an interview with newsmen in his office on Acme Road, Ogba, Lagos State, the former Commissioner for Special Duties in Lagos State contended that without the efforts of Tinubu, Buhari would not have won the presidential election in 2015.

Ajomale averred that despite the popularity of Buhari in the north he would have lost the presidential election without the support of the South west, adding that he had contested thrice and lost in the presidential race.

He however commended the president for appointing Asiwaju Tinubu as the leader of the presidential committee to reconcile aggrieved members and leaders of APC.

The Lagos APC chairman took a swipe on the National Chairman of the party, Chief John Odigie Oyegun for undermining the Tinubu-led presidential reconciliatory committee adding that his attitude portrays grave danger for the party in 2019.

The APC chieftain admitted that the party is facing crisis and there is need for reconciliation so that the party will not lose the 2019 presidential election.

On allegations that Buhari has not fulfilled his electoral promises to the people, the APC chairman explained that the party met an empty treasury and there is no way the party could have corrected all the anomalies perpetrated by the PDP in three years.

He commended President Buhari for his anti-graft war and warned Nigerians never to vote for PDP again since, according to him, PDP has defrauded Nigerians and looted the treasury during their 16 years of administering the country.|

Commenting on the letters written by two former presidents of the country, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (retd) calling on President Buhari not to seek re-election in 2019, the APC leader condemned the contents of the letters, stressing that both former presidents were the cause of the problems facing Nigerians.

On why Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State should be re-elected for a second term, the APC stalwart maintained that Amobode has turned Lagos state into one huge project site with road construction and infrastructural development.

He stated that the governor has won several awards due to his visionary leadership and developmental strides, stressing that Ambode will be re-elected by all Lagosians.

He also boasted that the APC will win the 2019 presidential election with landslide because the party has created jobs, overcome economic recession, repositioned the country, tackled corruption and improved electricity supply to 7000 megawatts which previous regimes were unable to attain.

On the call for the National Chairman of APC, Chief John Odigie Oyegun to resign, the Lagos APC Chairman supported the move, stressing that Oyegun is creating more problems for the party and it is time for him to go in order to avert catastrophy for APC.
