The Federal Government has urged stakeholders from relevant agencies to engage on effective partnerships that would promote Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the progress of the nation.
A statement signed by Mrs Janet McDickson, Assistant Director, Information, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), gave the advice in Abuja on Monday.
The statement quoted Mrs Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, Senior Special Assistant to the President on SDGs as saying that there was need to address critical challenges bothering on economic, social and environmental issues.
Orelope-Adefulire at the cycling competition recently held in Abuja with the theme tagged: “Racing for Sustainable Development Goals,” said that the event was an exclusive campaign to raise awareness on the goals.

“The SDGs will only strive in the spirit of partnership and pragmatism to make the right choices.
“This is with a view to improving people’s lives; it is a sustainable way for future generation and with commitment to leave no one behind,’’ Orelope-Adefulire said.
She added that the event was organised to support the culture of cycling, thereby promoting 10 out of the 17 goals of the SDGs.
She noted that the event was also in line with the Paris climate change landmark agreement in 2015 where nations resolved to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
According to her, embracing the cycling culture will help in reducing the use of fossil fuel to efficiently combat climate change.
