Why Nigerians can’t hold leaders accountable – Senator Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central in the National Assembly has identified the reasons why Nigerians cannot hold their leaders accountable.

He blamed them for always assessing their leaders from the prisms of religion and ethnicity.

In his facebook posting Friday morning, Senator Sani stated: ”It’s difficult to hold leaders to account in a nation where many people support the President because he comes from their ethnic or religious background or oppose the President because he doesn’t come from their ethnic or religious background. We view the conduct of Government and the conduct of people in power while wearing the lenses of our narrow identity.”
