Alpha Beta Consulting, owned by the National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on Thursday said the company is not involved in collecting the Lagos’ Land Use Charge, LUC tax.

There have been outrage over alleged insertion of Alpha Beta Consulting in the LUC law, while the Organised Private Sector, OPS, have been calling for a reversal to status quo.

A statement issued by Bode Oluyemi, Deputy Managing Director, Alpha Beta Consulting, said the Lagos State government recently announced an increase in the Land Use Charge which, it said, took effect from 1st March.

“The government has also engaged the public on the intent and details of the law in response to the public reactions to it. However, we would like to state that our company, Alpha Beta Consulting, is not involved in the collection and administration of the Land Use Charge of Lagos State.”

According to the statement, “although we do business with the state as we do with other individuals and organizations that require our services, Land Use Charge collection and/or administration is not part of our brief.”

“We make bold to state, therefore, that the stories making the rounds that link us to it is not true and do not represent our correct relationship with the government,” it added.
