Eleven ships laden with various products, including petrol, are at the Lagos ports waiting to berth, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said on Thursday.
The NPA disclosed in its daily “Shipping Position” made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos that seven of the 11 vessels were laden with petrol.
It said that another four ships were bringing into the country: bulk fertiliser, steel products and crude palmolein.
It added that 33 other ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods were expected at Apapa and Tin-Can Island ports between March 15 and April 5.
“The expected ships are carrying buck wheat, empty containers, steel products, frozen fish, butane, bulk sugar, buck wheat, crude palmolein, bulk fertiliser, general cargo and petrol,’’ it said.
