Nigeria Police Force

Ahead of the 29th Enugu International Trade Fair, the State Police Command has assured participants and organisers of adequate security within the fairground.

The command’s spokesman, SP Ebere Amaraizu, in Enugu on Thursday that the command had been intensifying efforts to ensure hitch-free trade fair.

The fair, being organised by the Enugu Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (ECCIMA), would be declared open on March 16 by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Its theme is: “Engendering the Competitiveness of Nigeria Products in the Global Market,’’

NAN reports that the fair would hold between March 16 and March 26 at the fair complex beside Golf Course, GRA, Enugu.

Amaraizu said that the command would work in partnership with relevant stakeholders and sister security agencies in putting up measures that would bring about a hitch-free trade fair.

“The measures to be put in place will cover activities before, during and after the fair.

“We know that such an event will attract an influx of people.

“But members of the public and participants at the fair are assured of their safety and security before, during and after the event.

“Members of the public are once more reminded of the command’s distress call numbers of 08032003702, 08075390883, 08086671202 and 08098880172.

“They can also use our social media platforms: @policeNg_Enugu for twitter and Nigeriapoliceforceenugustatecommand for Face-book handles,’’ he said.
