As Christians around the world celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ on Sunday, newly delivered mother, patients and their relatives in the hospital express hope appreciation to God for witnessing the day.

They made this known in their various interviews at National Hospital, Abuja.

According to them, they have every cause to thank God for being alive, though not in the comfort of their homes.

Mrs Vivian Anyaehi, a civil servant who was delivered of a baby girl on Sunday spoke from her bed in Gynaecology ward:

“I’m happy having my baby today. I never expected her to be born today. Join me in thanking God for the gift of Christ’s resurrection,” she said.

Anyaehi enjoined Christians all over the world especially in Nigeria to be peaceful, love one another and unite with others.

“When we are united, everything will be okay,” she said.

Similarly, Femi Oluyomi, a civil servant and an inpatient in the surgical ward, undergoing treatment after a car accident said,“ “I’m very grateful, many have gone but I’m alive.

“A car ran into me. On that very spot, all the past victims of car accident usually don’t survive it, but I am happy to be alive today.

“It affected my two legs but I am very hopeful that God will heal me totally,” he said.

Oluyomi sent an emotional message to the whole world at Easter.
