Members of the Action Democratic Party (ADP) receiving decampees from the Labour Party on Sunday in Lagos

Members of the pro-workers political party, Labour Party, have joined the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in Lagos.

Confirming this development to journalists at the party’s state secretariat on Sunday, the spokesman for Lagos ADP, Prince Adelaja Adeoye revealed that Labour party members in the state have formally joined the ADP.

Adelaja said members of the Labour Party have taken the right step at the right time, stressing that ADP is a party for all Nigerians.

The Labour Party members were received by the state Chairman of ADP, Barrister Adewale Bolaji in the presence of party chieftains like Chief Fatai Shodimu, Mrs Nike Jones, Alhaja Yetunde Dosunmu, amongst others.

On the side of the Labour Party was Mr Bolaji Oshinowo and Prince Ajisemoyin who led their members into the ADP.

Prince Ajisemoyin said that they are so excited to join ADP family. He described ADP as a formidable party ready to win elections across Nigeria with good people who can fix Nigeria.

Prince Ajisemoyin has directed all members of his former party to register with ADP across the 20 Local governments in Lagos.

The state chairman of ADP confirmed that the party is currently working out modalities on how to properly integrate the decampees into ADP across the state.

He also confirmed that members of other political parties will soon join the ADP.
