Minna residents defends President Buhari’s second term bid

Residents of Minna have expressed support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s bid for a second tenure, with some saying that he would use the fresh term to consolidate on his achievements.
Some of them, who spoke with newsmen on Tuesday, said that the additional four years would enable Buhari to consolidate on his achievements in the area of security.
They listed other areas to include the economy and the fight against corruption.
Alhaji Kabiru Bawa, a trader, said that the four more years were crucial to entrenching the Buhari legacy and his ideals of a corrupt-free Nigeria.
“Buhari has succeeded in pulling Nigeria out of economic recession. He has also taken practical steps to diversify the economy. We need to ensure these measures are deeply rooted,” he said.
Alhaji Abdullahi Bosso, a politician, said that Buhari’s obsession for justice had changed the psyche of Nigerians.
“Buhari’s administration has tried to protect everyone’s right. We need to keep him longer in government so that we can enjoy these privileges,” he said.

He also commended Buhari’s commitment to ending insurgency, saying that many parts of the country were now safe.
Alhaji Ahmed Dogara, former Chairman of Chanchaga Local Government Area, said that
Buhari would use the second tenure to complete ongoing projects he initiated.
He said that Buhari was transparent, honest, committed to progressive change, and had a deep concern about the yearnings and aspirations of poor Nigerians.
Dogara, however, urged Buhari to be more decisive in his fight against corruption so as to rid the nation of the menace.
