The national convener of “Why it must be PDP in 2019” (WIMBPDP2019), Chief Chinedu Eya, has said the mammoth crowd that welcomed the party in Katsina State recently, shows that the opposition party remains the one to beat in 2019.
Eya noted that the PDP was welcomed in Katsina because Nigerians have seen a marked difference between it and other parties including the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Eya also congratulated those who defected to the PDP during the rally just as he pleaded with Nigerians to vote out the ruling APC in 2019.
The PDP was received by a crowd in Katsina State on Saturday, during a rally organized by the North-West zone of the party.
“Eya said: the thousands of defectors from the APC to PDP in Muhamadu Buhari’s home state have vindicated his group’s stance that PDP is the party to beat in 2019.
A statement by his spokesperson, Gwiyi Solomon, quoted Eya as maintaining that the crowed of defectors during the rally was a testament Nigerians now know better and are anxiously waiting to show the APC exit in 2019.
“We have been telling Nigerians the clear difference between white and black since the APC took over. We are glad they are beginning to see why it must be PDP in 2019,” the statement said.
“Nigerians should therefore, bank on these reasons and show the ruling party exit in 2019,” the PDP chieftain pleaded.
Eya commended all members of the National Working Committee of the party, the four PDP state governors in attendance, the North-West zone of the party and defectors who were led by a former lawmaker and gubernatorial aspirant, Senator Mohammed Lado.
