Nigerian workers urged to create habit of regular medical check-ups

Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) has called on Nigerian workers to imbibe the culture of regular medical checkup.
Mrs Janet McDickson, the Head of Communications in the Office of the SSA, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja.
McDickson said the presidential aide made the call at a meeting with members of top management staff of the office.

She said the poor attention given to health related issues among Nigerian works and the habit of allowing situations get critical before going to hospital was dangerous.
She urged members of staff to ensure regular checkups to help them manage their health and lifestyle.
“Goal three of the SDGs must be seen working and it has to start with us.
“Good health is the basis for enhanced quality work and improved development,” the statement quoted Orelope-Adefulire as saying.
The presidential aide also donated first aid materials to units and departments in the Office of the SSA.
